PUPILS at an independent Sheffield girls' school shot their way to success in a prestigious regional netball tournament.
The under 11s team from Mylnhurst Preparatory School in Ecclesall finished first in the annual Sheffield schools tournament.
The girls competed against teams from 15 schools throughout the city, taking home the sporting shield which was first awarded in the early 1970s.
Talent was also evident in the school's under 10s team which was narrowly beaten in the semi-final - their best achievement in an under 11 tournament.
The under 10s have also won the Independent Schools Association's under 10s national tournament.
Fiona Roberts, head of girls' games, said: "The girls have worked very hard and it has paid off.
"The Sheffield Schools Tournament nearly finished with an all-Mylnhurst final! They were outstanding on the day and did the school proud."
