Rubbish fire 'by firework'

A FIREWORK is believed to have been responsible for a fire in a rubbish chute at a block of flats on Jaunty Avenue, Gleadless, Sheffield.
Firefighters called out to deal with the blaze last night found that it was out.

They believe a firework had been deliberately set off.

Crews were also called out to deal with a Mercedes 220 set alight on Buchanan Road, Parson Cross, Sheffield, and a trailer torched behind a former glass factory on Lidget Lane, Thurnscoe, Barnsley.

A wheelie bin was also set alight on Nethershire Lane, Shiregreen, Sheffield.
