A POST mortem examination was carried out yesterday on the body of a South Yorkshire police officer who died after being found injured on Mount Snowdon.
Pc Anthony Mulhall, aged 42, was reported missing from his home in Rotherham last Wednesday and was found by a walker in the Snowdonia National Park in North Wales the following day with head injuries.
Mountain rescue teams located his body and he was airlifted to an intensive care unit in a nearby hospital but later died from the extent of his injuries.

Pc Mulhall, whose wife Letitia, 44, is also a police officer, hit the national headlines after he was captured on CCTV camera repeatedly striking a young woman as he tried to arrest her outside a Sheffield nightclub in July 2006.
When the footage was made public the Independent Police Complaints Commission launched an inquiry into the incident and the police officer's actions and he was cleared of any wrongdoing.
The Pc, who served with South Yorkshire Police for 11 years, was withdrawn from public duties "for his own safety" during the course of the investigation.
Pc Mulhall's brother, who does not want to be named, said the family was "unhappy" with reports that the officer had taken his own life.
