STUNNED South Yorkshire postman Adrian Fogg was booted off his bus home - for listening to an MP3 player.
South Yorkshire's biggest bus operator First launched a campaign over increasing complaints about loud music.

Adrian, aged 34, was on the First number 84 from Doncaster town centre to East Lane, Stainforth, listening to Hard Core Til I Die by DJ Darren Styles and Re-Con.

He said: "The driver said she wouldn't set off because I wouldn't turn my MP3 player down or off. I had been on the bus for two minutes.

"She said she didn't want to hear my music and that she wouldn't be able to concentrate on driving the bus because of the house music."

Three security guards asked him to turn down or switch off his music. He refused.

"I was shocked that I was being escorted off the bus by three security guards for listening to an MP3 player. You hear about people being attacked on buses and no one intervening. I'm mortified."

First commercial director Brandon Jones said: "It is a growing concern among our customers that people don't want to listen to other people's music. We have issued a poster campaign asking our customers to show consideration to other users.

"If the noise level was... distracting to the driver or other passengers it is not unreasonable to ask the customer to reduce the noise."

Women drivers..might have guessed.
In the war we drove the trams as bombs dropped beside the track and drivers were machine gunned..bring back men on the job..

I suppose House music is absolutly pants, id throw him off my bus if i could hear it ;)

It is annoying when people play their phones or MP3s loudly and if he was asked to turn it down it should have done, the bus driver does have the authority to ask and if needed thrown him off the bus!

Does it make any difference if he is a Postman? If he was being a pain in the neck then he was a pain in the neck postman or not!

Dont start me on the post office, Grrr!!!

No consideration for others. I'm surprised the Royal Mail allow his photo to be shown wearing their shirt.

But then again its the same Royal Mail that closed down our Post Office so no consideration for others is probably a requirement.

The man wasn't told he couldn't use his mp3 - just to turn the volume down. This is a reasonable request in my book.

I enjoy loud music as much as anyone else, but if someone tell me it's annoying them, I'll turn it down. It's called consideration for other Adrian - maybe you could try and learn some?

When you're on the bus,it's debatable whether it's worse to have to listen to phone conversations, hear the tinny music, sit next to a smelly, or get annoyed with the bottleneckers who stand at the front in the narrow bit.
Think I'd rather have the music!

the comment of being scared of kids playing it on busses and nowt gets done by driver why should they, kids don't forget then that driver is putting themselves in danger of attack, kids possibly armed with syringes etc and what do the general public do, say oh isn't it disgusting todays society what is it coming to, do jack s**t to help the driver when they need help,so no you stop being arrogant and wake up to the 21st century amy@irwin, probably why my post is always late because some arsy driver kicks my postie of the bus everyday, mind you he's a miserable sod so he deserves it, if it was to loud i would ask you myself not expect the driver to do it.
