THE road between Worrall and High Bradfield in Sheffield will be closed on Monday in anticipation of thousands of pilgrims flocking to see the relics of St Therese of Lisieux.
Kirk Edge Road will be closed between 10.30am and 4pm. Visitors heading for tiny Kirk Edge monastery are encouraged to park in Bradfield and Worrall and walk.

Most pilgrims are arriving on pre-booked coaches but there will be parking spaces availa
ble for wheelchair users on a first-come, first-served basis.

The monastery is expecting more than 1,000 visitors to travel to see the relics of St Therese, a French Carmelite nun who died aged 24 in 1897.

The bones of St Therese will be at Kirk Edge from noon to 3pm on Monday.
