A SHEFFIELD publisher has released a new guidebook showcasing 850 of the best rock climbs and boulder problems in the Peak District.
Peak District Climbing features the Peak's best gritstone and limestone crags including Stanage, Froggatt, The Roaches, Windgather, Stoney Middleton and Wildcat.

It also has several additional features with advice on climbing techniques and top ro
utes to try at a range of crags. Essential local area information is also provided for all corners of the Peak.

The guide has been written by Sheffield-based John Coefield, with sections penned by Jon Barton, author of four popular mountain biking and rock climbing titles.

It also features the work of Sheffield-based photographers Ian Parnell, David Simmonite, Adam Long and Keith Sharples.

The guide has been published by Vertebrate Publishing.

Co-author Jon Barton, who is also managing director of Vertebrate, said: "Peak District Climbing is our 17th title since we launched our publishing business almost four years ago.

"The Peak is a beautiful national park and one that both John and I are passionate about. It offers some of the finest rock climbing in the UK so were delighted to be able to showcase this in our new guidebook."

Peak District Climbing is available direct from Vertebrate at v-outdoor.co.uk and from bookshops and outdoor shops.
