OAP knocked off scooter

A PENSIONER was taken to hospital with two broken arms after she was knocked off her mobility scooter as she tried to cross a South Yorkshire road.
The 83-year-old woman was attempting to cross Furlong Road, close to the junction with Kennedy Drive, Bolton on Dearne, when she was hit by a silver Vauxhall Corsa travelling towards Goldthorpe at 6pm last night.

The injured pensioner was taken to
Barnsley District General Hospital for treatment to her broken arms and was detained overnight. Witnesses can police on call 0114 220 2970.
