SUPERMARKET giants Tesco have secured a new store in Chesterfield after taking over the lease of a former Somerfield shop destroyed by fire.
The store in The Pavements shopping precinct was gutted by fire last summer and the main structure has been completely re-built by landlords Chesterfield Council.
The new Tesco Metro store is expected to open on Monday October 6.
