TWO South Yorkshire libraries are set for a modernising makeover thanks to a grant from the Big Lottery Fund.
Parson Cross library in Sheffield will use a £1.4 million grant to help create a new community space and learning centre. It will accommodate community organisations, providing classrooms, informal teaching space, IT facilities, meeting rooms and a p
erformance area.

Mowbray Gardens Library in Rotherham has been awarded more than £1.1 million which will be used to re-model and extend the building, resulting in a wider and improved range of services on offer.

Caroline James, Big Lottery Fund head of region for Yorkshire and the Humber, said: "I'm delighted that the Big Lottery Fund has now given the green light to libraries across the region to get their plans off the ground."

Spend a little bit on water the rose garden at manor top, about £3 should do it. Get a watering can or two. The staff at the library can then water the rose garden when there is little rain.
Just a little bit of effort could make the library look so much more attractive.
