THE man who died when he was struck by a lorry on the A1M motorway in South Yorkshire has been named.
David Brown, aged 21-year-old and from Scunthorpe, was killed on Friday after crashing his car into the central reservation, then getting out of the vehicle and trying to cross the motorway.
He crashed his Peugeot 406 on the southbound carriageway and was struck as he tried to cross the northbound lanes between junction 35 - where the road joins the M18 - and 36 at Warmsworth.
