SOUTH Yorkshire Euro MP Linda McAvan is warning local businesses to be on their guard against a scam which could cost hundreds of pounds - after she herself was targeted.
The European City Guide mails out to thousands of small businesses, urging them to correct their details on a form.
But, by signing the form, firms don't realise they have entered into a deceptive contract to be included in the "guide" and incur an annual bill of €987,around £780.
