Sheffield man dies in road tragedy

A SHEFFIELD man was killed when his Kawasaki motorbike hit a tree branch blown onto a busy north Yorkshire road.
The 42-year-old motorcyclist, who has not yet been named, was riding westbound on the A66 near Scotch Corner when the accident happened at 5.20pm on Friday.

The Great North Air Ambulance was scrambled but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. The road was closed for several hours while police carried out their investigations.
