Junior rugby side triumphs

JUNIOR players from Sheffield Rugby Club have been celebrating after winning an international tournament.
The Abbeydale side’s Under 17s junior colts won the two-day event in France – despite losing their opening match.
Dave Gillian, of the under 17s coaching staff, said: “Though Sheffield RUFC is in itself struggling, it is clear its academy system is not only healthy, but possibly its best chance of regaining some of its former glory.”
The cost of the tour was paid for with sponsorship from Sheffield firms Irwin Mitchell solicitors and Yorkshire Tiles.
