WHEN Graham Butterley turned 65 he got a sackful of letters and cards - but more than a dozen were unwelcome.
In a 12-day period after his birthday he received no fewer than 15 bogus lottery letters from all over the world.
The post poured in from Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Canada, the Netherlands and even Sheffield.
Most asked him to send a cheque for £1
0 or £12 to release his millions in "winnings".
Graham, of Mount View Road, Norton Lees, Sheffield, reckons that someone somewhere thinks he's more susceptible to such fraudulent charms now he's 65. He wants other pensioners to be aware of the bogus letter writers' ploy.
He said: "The Sheffield one had me going for a minute. But then I realised it was no different to the rest.
"Obviously I didn't fall for any of them, but how have they got my details? It's worrying."
