A SHEFFIELD grandma shaved off her treasured tresses to raise money for Sheffield Children's Hospital where her grandson is being treated.
Janet Lever raised a whopping £1,293 for the leukaemia ward where her grandson Jayden is receiving treatment.

She was helped on her way to the total by bosses at Cadbury, her employer of 17 years, who matched the amount she raised with a donation.

The 57-year-old said: "I'm delighted with the amount of money raised and am so grateful to my family, friends and in particular my team on the gum and liquorice packing line for their generosity and support.

"It was a bit scary shaving off my hair but well worth it - the money will now be used to fund vital equipment."
