PATIENTS in Sheffield have given the thumbs up to a new appointments systems at GP surgeries.
As many as 21,500 people took part in an annual GP Patient Access Survey - and 84 per cent said they were satisfied with telephone booking systems at their local surgery.
More than 80 per cent of those surveyed who tried to book an appointment qui
ckly said they were able to see a GP within 48 hours, and three-quarters who wanted to book ahead were able to do so.
The national survey also found 81 per cent of Sheffield patients were happy with the current opening times of their GP practice.
