BIG-hearted Sheffield boxing fans stepped into the ring for a charity event to help two worthy causes.
Money raised from the event, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Charter Square, has now all been collected – totalling almost £5,700.
Organiser John McCormack, of Hunters Bar, has split the proceeds equally between Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity and Ella's Fund, set up by the family of young Sheffield girl Ella Frith, from Charnock, who is battling a brain tumour.
A cheque for £2,834 was presented to Simon Athey, senior fundraiser for Sheffield Children's Hospital, at Sheffield Boxing Centre, Hillsborough.
The centre is run by former pro Glyn Rhodes and was where John and some of his fellow fight fans trained for the big event.
Simon said: "We'd like to say a big thank you to John McCormack, Glyn Rhodes and all the guys at Sheffield Boxing Centre for their hard work and generous donation. It will benefit a lot of young patients at the hospital."
The fundraising night featured several bouts – including one involving a city vicar – along with a fundraising battle.
Sheffield Wednesday FC chaplain and parish priest at St Peter's Church, Gleadless, Rev Peter Allen, topped the bill against young professional boxer Ross Burkinshaw, from Deepcar.
A total of 18 boxers took part, which also included businessmen, tradesmen and retired professional Jason Barker.
