A PAIR of dozy robbers were jailed for a Post Office armed robbery after dye spattered cash was found in their getaway car.
Aiden Bierton, aged 26, and Darren Hopkins, 43, were imprisoned for a total of 12 years after stealing £1,300 in the raid.

Sheffield Crown Court heard the cash, covered in dye, was found in the footwell of Hopkins' car and also his pocket. Bierton
was caught after he was captured on CCTV spending his red dye-covered haul at a casino.

The court heard Bierton entered the post office in Parson Cross waving a gun and demanding cash.

Bierton pleaded guilty to robbery and possessing a firearm.

Hopkins was found guilty of the same charges and an unrelated burglary, after Bierton testified against him. Hopkins was jailed for six and a half years and Bierton for five and a half.
