INQUESTS have been opened and adjourned following the death of a Barnsley man who is believed to have killed himself after murdering his wife.
Gary Grinhaff, aged 44, was found dead in Wombwell Woods last Friday. The body of his wife Tracey, 42, was found at the couple's home in Aldham Crescent, Wombwell.

Post mortems revealed Mr Grinhaff died due to blood loss from self-inflicted wounds in his arm and leg. Mrs Grinhaff died from a head injury.

A coroner's spokesman said tissue samples had been sent away for analysis and results could take up to five weeks.

A funeral would be held after that time, he added.

Neighbours and relatives said they had no idea there were marital problems. But Tracey had written on her Facebook page she was 'currently splitting up'.

The couple leave two daughters.
