Death crash boyfriend due in court

A SHEFFIELD man was due in court today charged with causing the death of his girlfriend in a road smash.
Ryan Shaw, aged 20, of Castlebeck Drive, Castlebeck, near the Manor, was due before Sheffield Crown Court to answer charges of causing death by dangerous driving, driving without a licence, and driving without insurance.

The dad-of-one is accused
of causing the death of Katie Rose Betts, 19, of Wulfric Place, Manor, after the car he was driving careered down a bank and overturned.

The couple's daughter, 22 months old at the time, was also in the car but escaped with minor cuts. Shaw suffered serious back injuries.
