A TEENAGER riding a stolen motorbike which collided with a car in Sheffield was in a stable condition in hospital today.
The 17-year-old, who has not yet been named, suffered a fractured skull and internal injuries in the crash on Prince of Wales Road, Manor, on Saturday afternoon.

He remains in the Northern General Hospital today.

The teenager was riding a silve
r Honda 125cc bike downhill in the direction of Darnall when he collided with a BMW 316 at around 1pm.

The car was travelling in the opposite direction and turning right into Harborough Avenue.

The bike rider was thrown from his bike and hit metal railings on the side of the road before landing on the ground.

Two people in the BMW suffered injuries and were left very badly shaken. Police said the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet or any protective clothing. Anyone with information should call police on 0114 220 2970.

A fractured skull should be the least of this thief's worries in a society where criminals are punished for their transgressions. However, I have no doubt that the penalty will not fit the crime and may not even serve as a deterrent to this individual or others.

Yesterday's article clearly stated the thief had ridden through a red light which caused the collision and the innocent people in the car, who follow the rules of the road, are obviously left shaken and will have to find the money for repairs to their car or hope their insurance will cover it.

Its about time these young law breakers were named and the judiciary given the power to decide what penalties, punishments or sentences would mean that future incidents like this could be avoided. Perhaps one starting point might be to ban them for life from driving any kind.

The owners of the car should seek compensation from this idiot who could have killed somone . His parents should also help in the repair bill to the dammage done to the car. That is if they can, probably on benefits. This idiot will be also, and cost us tax payers for the investigation and hospital treatment, And worst of all made me late for my football match at the Lane.

I saw this idiot riding around on Saturday and all i can say is its his own fault. He is a nuisance and a danger to pedestrians and drivers. This little stunt wont teach him a lesson - they never do and him being in the paper will make him think he clever cos little scrags like him thrive on this kind of attention.

He didnt make me late for a brilliant game at 'The Lane' or he would have got a piece of my mind too !!
But seriously, the law should be changed to make the parents responsible for their offsprings debts if the guilty party cant pay................The owner of the car will be out of pocket through no fault of their own.

Parents cannot be blamed. I know a lot of good parents. This Government have given youngsters all the tools they need to commit crimes without being punished for them. Many parents are too afraid to punish their offspring, These kids know this,. Many parents are even afraid of their offspring. Thanks to this Government and the Political Correct Brigade. As for this scum bag, Maybe the parents would be glad to see him stopped, Though maybe not in this way. My opinion.... Tough these scumbags know what they are doing. It is time to stop feeling sorry for them.

I don't wish ill on anyone but having seen this kid racing around the estate on various nicked and illegal motorcycles he really had this coming.I'm just sorry for the innocents in the car. Oh, and by the way, when I've phoned the police about him and others like him " We're too busy" and " What can we do about it" are the responses I've had.
