THE son of a convicted drug smuggler once named the most wanted criminal in Britain is to visit Sheffield this weekend to sign copies of a controversial comic book.
Author Jason Wilson, aged 37, wrote Him & Hers Smuggling Vacation with the help of his father Tony Spencer.

Jason's dad was sentenced to six years in jail for importing cannabis in 2003.

He was named the most wanted criminal in Britain by police investigating a Midlands drugs factory.

The book is about a couple who try to smuggle a cannabis stash from Spain.

It caused an outcry when it was being circulated in a Birmingham prison.

Jason said: "Obviously the public will probably learn quite a lot they didn't know about drug smuggling but I don't imagine it will be telling prisoners anything they don't already know."

He will sign copies at a Sci Fi Comic and Book Sale at Hallam University on Howard Street tomorrow from noon.

Profiting from crime. I hope his book flops.

Yet another book profiting from crime. WHSmith, Waterstones and Tesco are full of them, and it is shameful.

Cannabis should be legal in the first place, its insane punishing people for growing, trading or using a natural plant which the use of has been documented for long before most religions began.

In this secular society we are allowed to freely worship an invisible entity in the sky without proof.
Yet we cannot use a plant which has medical uses documented as far back as 5000 years ago.

K Darregh - get a grip. This is a comic book. I wrote and drew the book Smuggling Vacation. Instead of wishing bad for it you from a point of ignorance, you could find out what it is first.
Not one person who has actually read the book echos what you say. The people calling for a ban or for it to 'flop' or deplore the so called 'profiting from crime' are, without exceptance people who haven't read it.
People spouting opinions about things they know nothing about is deplorable.
