DRAMA student Chris Hicks proved Sheffield's Got Talent when he wowed the audience and judging panel with his Michael Jackson-inspired freestyle dancing.
The 20-year-old from Waterthorpe beat competition from performers including Turkish dancers, jaw-dropping jugglers and magicians, solo singers, and even a drag act, to be crowned the Sheffield's Got Talent champion.
The event, organised by local a
dventure company Spice Yorkshire, also featured a performance from the national Britain's Got Talent finalist and former Pitsmoor girl Sophie Mei, who entertained guests with her show-stopping belly-dancing moves.
Chris, a student at Sheffield College, said he was delighted to have won.
"It was out of this world," he said. "I have been on cloud nine since winning. I'm a huge fan of Michael Jackson and I have been following his dance style for years.
"I am so pleased Spice Yorkshire gave me the chance to show Sheffield my dance moves - I definitely want to pursue it further."
He now has to chose from one of four prizes offered by the company.
He can pick a skydive, a stay in a Mongolian tent called a Yurt, a weekend at Centre Parcs or tickets to the Spice Yorkshire ball.
