A CAR sharing club launched in Sheffield claims there could be 276 fewer vehicles on the city's roads thanks to the scheme.
A survey commissioned by Carplus, a national charity promoting responsible car use, said each car club vehicle takes up to 23 private vehicles off the road.

Liz Gray, sustainability manager for Sheffield club WhizzGo, said: "This research is a gre
at vindication of the work we have been doing."

WhizzGo has 12 low-emission cars at eight locations across Sheffield. Members pay an hourly rate to use the cars. Visit www.whizzgo.co.uk or call 08444 779966 for more.
