A LOTTERY winning couple from Sheffield cracked open the champagne at an exclusive gathering to celebrate the 15th anniversary of The National Lottery.
Ray and Barbara Wragg, from Whirlow, who won £7.6 million in 2000, celebrated the landmark with other winners from Yorkshire and Humberside at The Royal Armouries in Leeds.

The generous couple have given away more than £5.5 million of their winnings since hitting the jackpot nine years ago - helping family, friends and hospitals as well as organising treats for schoolchildren.

Ray and Barbara have helped buy 30 portable TVs for sick youngsters at Sheffield Children's Hospital and paid for city pupils to visit the panto.

Last year the pair went to a Buckingham Palace garden party to reward their charitable work, and enjoyed tea and sandwiches with the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Since the Lottery launched in 1994 more than £1 billion has been paid out in draws and scratchcards in the region - creating more than 200 millionaires.

A Lottery spokesperson said: "It was great to catch up with Ray and Barbara and see how their lives have been transformed by their win."
