MARTIAL arts fans turned out in force for a personal appearance by South Yorkshire TV talent show stars Team Strike.
Sheffield lad Liam Richards and Danny Ball, from Armthorpe, Doncaster wowed the viewers and judges on ITV's Britain's Got Talent show with their display of fighting skills and acrobatics.

The pair put in an appearance at the Frenchgate Centre in Doncaster to drum up support for their next TV appearance on Saturday May 24.

Danny told The Star: "All the attention we're getting has come as a bit of surprise but I've got to be honest we're still enjoying it.

"It's a bit weird being recognised in the street but it's fun too."

Liam, who works for Sheffield's Excel school of martial arts, said: "We've had a lot of attention from girls, which is always nice.

"I think we've got a chance at getting through to the semi-finals of the show – our act is a bit different so we're definitely in with a shout."

Manager Stuart Wilks, who runs Armthorpe's Premier martial arts school where Danny works, added: "When I first started teaching Danny, when he was 12, he was just an average kid – that he's done so well is all down to his hard work and I know that's true of Liam as well."
