SHEFFIELD ladies could be sharing a perfect date with their dream man this week – all for the bargain price of £100.
A charity bachelor auction being held in Sheffield is hoping to raise lots of cash for charity by selling off handsome, eligible men to the highest bidder.
"It's a lot of fun and I think a great way to raise funds," said organiser and native New Yorker Aimee Ward.
"I used to do the bachelor auctions when I was living back in New York, so when I moved over here I decided to give them a try and the first one we held last year was a huge success, raising £5,000 for St Luke's hospital."
Around 20 bachelors will be up for auction on Friday in Sheffield United's Platinum Suite.
The evening includes a champagne reception, three course meal and entertainment from Britain's Got Talent bellydancer Sophie Mei and Sheffield boxing champion Johnny Nelson.
Sheffield man Darius Virabi is putting himself up for auction for the second year after being sold for just over £100 last year.
"It's a fun night, I'm single and it's all for a good cause," he said.
For tickets to the auction, call Aimee on 0114 221 0378.
