A NEW report into last summer's floods calls for better communication between Sheffield health chiefs and their electricity supplier.
A Department of Health report on lessons learned says Sheffield Care Trust's equipment store had floodwater lapping at its door.
Health and social care staff were not advised of planned power shut-down times.
The trust was praised for its "robust contingency plans" and at no time were critical care facilities threatened.
But longer-lasting emergency lighting was called for.
