A HEAVILY pregnant Sheffield woman was punched and kicked by a gang of teenage girl yobs - after she politely asked them to move on from outside her Sheffield home.
Debbie Parker's unborn baby's life was put at risk when she was viciously attacked after she challenged the yobs aged as young of 13 who were causing trouble for a neighbour.
The mum-of-four, aged 37, of Dugdale Road, Parson Cross, is seven months pregnant and expecting a little boy.
She said she simply asked the gang to move on and to take their empty beer cans away with them when she was verbally abused and insulted.
Debbie walked towards the group when they became abusive and she was punched by one of the thugs.
And as she tried to chase after the girl she stumbled to the ground and landed on her bump.
But instead of helping her to her feet she claims the gang repeatedly kicked her around her body and head, pulled her hair and hurled cans at her.
Debbie, who suffered a miscarriage last year, said she feared for her baby's life.
"I want these yobs named and shamed when the police catch them - they are animals for what they did to me and my baby - they could have killed it," she said.
"I was outside my house when I heard them causing trouble for a neighbour and told them to move off our street because they don't belong here.
"They started to call me names about my size and shout abuse at me so I walked after them and was punched by one of them when I asked her what her problem was.
"I lost my footing and stumbled, landing right on the baby and that's when they started booting me in my head, side and stomach - they didn't give a damn about the baby.
"They were pulling my hair and throwing beer cans at me.
"I lost a baby last year and was thinking that it was going to happen again but I went to hospital and they found a trace of its heart and I just felt relief.
"I managed to hit out at a couple of them in self defence because all I was thinking about was my baby.
"They need to be caught for this - they can't get away with it. They only looked between 13 and 15."
The attack, which happened on Sunday night, is being investigated by police.
