SEETAL Sagar, aged 27, of Manchester, says she paid £360 in January to hire 400 chair covers for her sister's wedding on April 25.
Despite "many, many" calls, she heard nothing until five days before the big day when she got an email saying the covers had been stolen.
She was forced to hire replacements from her caterers with just two days notice - costing £720.
Now Ms Saga
r, a lawyer, says she is planning to launch a claim in the county court to get her money back - plus damages.
Amy Dent says she was still emailing Rebecca Lawson about chair covers as she was getting her hair done an hour before her wedding - but to no avail.
Amy, aged 29, of Milton Keynes, said: "It was a white wedding - with green plastic chairs. I was so trusting, I'm so angry about this."

But five days before her June 13 wedding she says Rebecca Lawson emailed asking for confirmation of the order because it was "confusing".
With three days to go she says she received an email asking if Amy had paid a £50 deposit - which she says had never been mentioned before.
Amy claims she had the cash ready to pay J&R on the day, but the covers never arrived.
Lyndsey Spurgin, aged 31, of Chesham, Bucks, says she paid £105 for chair covers in January, but the day before her wedding on April 11 Rebecca Lawson phoned to say she wasn't coming: "Before that I tried everything to get in touch with her. In the end we had to use covers supplied by the hotel costing £350. It almost ruined my day."
Carole Joyce, aged 46, of Co Durham, says she called the police after hearing nothing since paying £180 in January.
She said: "They've said they will take a statement after the wedding. I am so stressed over this, it's taken all the enjoyment out of my daughter's wedding." A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said they were unaware of reports about J&R.
Rebecca Lawson said there were problems after Mrs Joyce had changed her order "about 15 times".
Catherine McAndrew-Dowen, aged 27, of Wakefield, was married on May 11. The day before, she says, Rebecca Lawson called her demanding a £50 deposit under terms and conditions.
Catherine said: "I paid it, I had no choice. Her husband Steven eventually turned up five hours late. But half the covers were not pressed, or damaged or didn't match. I'm still waiting for my deposit back eight weeks later."
Mrs Lawson said Catherine had still not confirmed her address and there was no reason why she could not have her deposit back.
Sara Davies, aged 25, of Nottingham, says she chased Rebecca Lawson for months after paying £100 in January.
She said: "I tried many times to get in touch and they were either unavailable or I was told they would send confirmation which never arrived.
"I tried to get my money back, I tried to cancel the hire, the chair covers never turned up."
