A new £60,000 project has improved information and access for disabled people at a beauty spot near Low Bradfield.
Yorkshire Water has made changes to a long circular walking route around Damflash reservoir so that it is easier for people to use.
Gaps in various access points have been widened to improve wheelchair access and tactile paving has been installed to warn of potential hazards to the blind or visually impaired.
The work, also including more information boards on potential hazards such as steep gradients, was carried out with the advice of a group of people with disabilities.
Alastair Harvey, recreation adviser, said ‘We welcome all visitors and are looking to improve the experience disabled visitors have at Damflask.”
