£60,000 Lottery grants awarded

COMMUNITY and school projects have benefited from £60,000 of funding from the National Lottery’s Awards for All programme.

Nine schemes around North Derbyshire were among the successful applicants for the latest handouts.

Chesterfield self-advocacy group Our Vision Our Future, run for and by adults with learning difficulties, receives £8,144 to spend on a multi-media presentation about disability bullying and hate crime.

Bramley Vale Primary School, Bolsover, receives £10,000 for outdoor all-weather play facilities.

Chesterfield and District Smallholders Association, in Brampton, has been given £5,822 to pay for new security, and the 1st Highfield Scout Group in Chesterfield receives £10,000 to build an extension to its scout hut.

Other groups to receive funding include Pilsley Friday Society (£2,360), Ashgate Croft School (£1,200), Tupton Hall School (£9,984), Grassmoor Primary School (£9,987) and Heath Primary School (£9,986).
