VANDALS have defaced a beauty spot in a Sheffield suburb.
Ancient rocks on Bole Hills parkland have been sprayed with bright luminous paint.
Local councillor John Hesketh complained: "People come from miles around to admire the views over the Rivelin and Loxley valleys and thanks to these vandals the enjoyment is ruined."
It is the latest in a long catalogue of graffiti attacks in the area.

The unsightly daubings are prominent all over the area. Shops, houses, walls, schools, bus stops.
"But now these spray-can vandals have reached an all-time low by attacking one our most precious beauty spots."
He has called for more action to clean up the mess and get to grips with the growing problem: "I have also requested that the police make a concerted effort to arrest and charge the culprits.
"Some people seem to think that these daubings are art. They're not. Graffiti blights an area. This mess makes Crookes look shabby and run down. How can anyone do this to such a beautiful part of Sheffield?"
Coun Hesketh appealed for more co-operations from the public: "Someone will have seen something, someone will know somebody who knows who is responsible.
"The police can only do so much. Local residents need to help the police by reporting anything they see or hear that might be helpful."
