250 more jobs in ID protection
CREDIT card, mobile phone, and internet identity-protection specialist CPP has unveiled plans to create 250 new jobs in Chesterfield, less than a year after opening a customer contact centre at West Bars.
The company, which currently employs 180 people in the town, says it hopes to recruit an additional 250 employees by the end of the year.
News of the jobs has been welcomed by Chesterfield Council leader Ray Russell. He said the significant further expansion would benefit the local economy and bring extra income and career opportunities to families.
Stephen Kennedy, CPP's managing director for Northern Europe, praised the council and Chesterfield College for their help and CPP's Chesterfield team for their hard work during the company's first year at West Bars.
"We now need up to 250 additional advisors to handle the growing number of incoming calls at Chesterfield," he said.
"We will welcome applications from people from all walks of life and experience - we already have employees who have previously worked in logistics, construction and manufacturing industries."
CPP says the additional jobs are on weekday evenings and Saturday morning shifts and are likely to suit students, people wanting a second income, and semi-retired or retired people.
The company is arranging tours of its West Bars centre for people considering applying for jobs, which can be arranged by calling the recruitment team on 0808 100 2509. Existing employees are also playing their part in the recruitment drive with a 'Bring a Friend to Work' day on the anniversary of the centre's opening next Wednesday.
