A new campaign aiming to get young people excited to travel by bus is launching in Sheffield.
Sheffield Bus Partnership is running an online competition, with a prize of £1,000 on offer for one lucky winner for showing what they like to use their local bus for.
Young people can enter a caption competition on SBP’s website or take part in ‘Onesie Friday’ on April 24 and send in selfie picture to be in with a chance of winning.
Richard Proctor, transport planning manager at Sheffield Council said: “For young people, travelling by bus gives them independence and freedom.
“Buses are a convenient and economical way to get around – whether going to see friends, going out socialising, or getting to college or work.
“Sheffield Bus Partnership aims to remind young people of the benefits and by engaging them in a creative, fun competition find out more about how they use their bus.
“The campaign is a mix of online advertising, caption and photo competitions and street teams – who will be easy to spot when out and about in Sheffield as they’ll be dressed in animal onesies too. It will be a fun, engaging way to remind young people about the benefits of getting around by bus.”
