Released via End Of The Trail Records it includes the very catchy Surrey Street, Can't Find My Way (Home) and a demo of the gently built Mission Beach.
"It is not fully confirmed yet but there is an 85 per cent chance we will play the day after in Tudor Square near the Winter Gardens at about 1pm on an outdoor stage," says singer/guitarist Jonathan Taylor.
"Playing pretty much on Surrey Street for a proper outdoor release of the single which shares the same name."
Today, Chesterfield's Queens Park is crammed with music for the annual Freefest, from the consistent vibes of Zion Train through to the punk of Population Lost and the mellow endeavours of Sheffield's Watch This Fire Spread. Vegas Child, Mojo & The Beatniks and Winterlong are among the others filling stages.
Tomorrow night The Grapes hosts Canadian duo The Minnikins.
Hailing from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Ruth and Gabriel Minnikin are former members of The Guthries, an alt-country/ Americana band which achieved notable success before splitting in 2003.
Gabriel relocated to Manchester where he's working on his third and fourth solo albums as well as being a noted producer whose credits include Ruth's most recent record Folk Art.
Her new album Depend On This is out February under the name Ruth Minnikin & Her Bandwagon. Aside from that her unique voice has featured on over 45 recordings by numerous artists. Support on Trippet Lane comes from local singer/songwriter Damian Sackett.
