ALBUM number four and Mike Skinner's still in there dispensing urban wit and neighbourly charm although trying harder than ever to avoid becoming a cliche.
Thirty next month, Skinner made quite an impression at Ibiza Rocks this summer with a set which saw the lyrical lad lead the audience into the swimming pool.

Since then fourth album Everything Is Borrowed has emerged with an aspiration to be less
social comment referencing modern life and more personal.

Various comments and blogs from the Brum-born rapper have suggested this will be his penultimate album - the fifth and final one being called Computers & Blues and touted by Mike as "dance music to drink tea to" - so enjoy little nuggets such as When You Wasn't Famous and Fit But You Know It while you still can.

Following his Matilda Street debut he will be part of the BBC Electric Proms at London's Roundhouse on October 22.
