LEEDS oddballs Glissando kick off a sprawling UK tour of their ambient, experimental and alternative wares with a show alongside local lads Corleone at divine watering hole The RedHouse tomorrow.
Signed to Gizeh Recordings, Elly May Irving and Richard Knox and their Fleeting Glimpse Ensemble are touting songs from their June-released debut album proper Our Arms Wide Open We March Towards The Burning Sea.

It follows last year's 2002-'07 collection of dramatic and often haunting work, Loves Are Like Empires, dating back to their formation.

"This release marked an end to more experimental music and has forged a path to the more melodic direction Glissando are now heading in," say the duo. Labelmates Her Name Is Calla find The Grapes on May 13.
