WALTER Andrew deLacey writes from Auckland, New Zealand in the hope Star readers can give him information about his mother.
He says: "I was born in New Zealand in July 1926. My birth cetificate lists my mother as Emma May Thompson.

She came to New Zealand around 1920.

"Her birth cetificate lists her birth date as June 13, 1886, her mother as Emmer
line Thompson formerly Buckley and her father as Wilfred Thompson, a file cutter at the local mill. The Thompsons lived at 34 Bramwell Street, Sheffield.

"After my birth, Emma May just vanished. I was placed in a foster home and my foster mother always said that Emma May returned to Sheffield to nurse a sick mother.

"I am know 82 and have spent most of my life time looking for some clues about my mother - perhaps one of your readers knows all the secrets."

MARK Johns from Plymouth would like to find his 'good Samaritans' who helped him out in 2005.

He says: "I unfortunately broke my leg on holiday in Turkey in 2005 and because I was alone with two young kids I would have been lost without the help of the British holiday makers.

"I remember several of the people who stopped and helped me were from South Yorkshire and I was hoping I could try and trace a few from through your paper.

JOE Murray writes on behalf of his wife Maureen (nee Hill).

He says: "I am trying to locate Maureen's brother, Randolph Hill, from Penistone. Maureen was adopted in 1942 aged 18 months and would like to contact him. After being adopted she moved to Marske in Cleveland and has not seen him since. She also has a sister, Diane Hill, but she changed her name and Maureen does not know it.

"Randolph will be in his 70s."
