JOHN Wilson writes in the hope of finding pictures of Chancet Wood allotments before they gave way to a housing estate.

He writes: "I was wondering if someone might have photos of how the large expanse of the old allottments and wild undergrowth and secret rabbit-runs looked before the estate was built in 1982 to 83?

"I was a kid playing in that fantastic area in the '70s. I'd be grateful if anyone knows where I could find any pictures, maybe taken from the houses nearby, or even amidst the many overgrown bushes, wild grassland, little secret animal tracks and dumped car parts."
