WERE you part of this school line-up from 1948?
If so, Barrie McKenzie (front row, third from left) would like to hear from you.

The picture shows class 4A of Greystones Grammar School in 1948 - with teacher Miss Baxter - and Barrie would like to contact any of his former classmates.

•Cont
act: Barrie McKenzie, 40 Barnes Hall Road, Burncross, Sheffield S35 4RF, tel: 0114 2468357.

PATRICIA Burrow (nee Spye) would like to trace her half-sister.

Patricia says: "She was born on May 6, 1956 in Sheffield. Her name was Susan Goddard and her mum's name was Edith Mary Goddard. Her dad was my dad.

"I was born in 1942. I contacted Susan's mum but I never met Susan. She went to Manchester University and met Keith Makin. They married and settled in Warrington.

"They have twin girls, born in 1985. Susan lived at Grenoside when she was young."

•Contact: Patricia Burrow, 73 Fairbarn Drive, Sheffield, S6 5QJ.

ANTHONY Piggott is looking for anyone who was at St Paul's / All Saints School on Granville Road, Sheffield from 1973 to 1978 - or until 1980 if they stayed on into the sixth form.

He says: "I am in touch with a few of those old school mates and we wondered if we could find some more of them and if we could raise enough interest to arrange an informal reunion to see how we are all getting along.

"It would be good to catch up with as many people as possible and even some of the teachers if any are still in Sheffield.

"It's now 30 years since we went our separate ways and I don't want to let the anniversary go by without the chance to see people once more."

FRANK Kirk from Devon is looking for help in tracing some of his ancestors.

He says: "My grandparents, on my father's side, lived in Sheffield Road, Tinsley in November 1902 when my father was born. My grandfather was William Kirk. His wife, Mary Hannah, bore him three children, Francis, Phyllis and Irene. My grandparents on my mother's side were Arthur and Clara Green, who I believe lived in Rotherham and had four children, Basil, Wilfred, Alma and Dorothy.

"My father, Francis Kirk, had a cousin, George Kirk, who lived at Sheffield Lane Top and who died in a big warehouse fire in Burgoyne Road in 1957. If anybody can offer any help in tracing any ancestors I would be very grateful.I would also like to know where my grandfather Arthur Green's grave is."

•Contact: Frank Kirk at frankkirk@tiscali.co.uk or call 01803 852645.
