Youth hostel to be opened

A NEW multi-million pound youth hostel is to be opened next week in Castleton.

Flagship Grade II-listed Losehill Hall is due to be used by 22,000 visitors a year.

MP Tim Loughton MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Children and Families, will open the hostel on Tuesday, and Sheffield MP Richard Caborn - president of the Youth Hostel Association - will attend.

As part of the launch event, a tree planting ceremony will take place in the grounds of Losehill Hall - 40 years on after Princess Anne planted a tree to mark the opening of the former Castleton Hall youth hostel.
