Bangs, flashes and even a spot of Elvis – expect the unexpected at this year’s Grenoside Pantomime.
The Grenoside Panto players are performing their 39th annual production – and their fifth version of Cinderella – this week.
Spokesman Lewis Deighton said: “The pantomime this year is based on the traditional story of Cinderella, but with a few twists.
“You need to expect flashes and bangs and a lot of comedy here and there.
“There will be lots of exciting props and scenery with some using ultra violet light.
“Just be prepared for the laughs and gags to come in the show and some of you may even get a pie to the face if you’re lucky!”
The production stars Emily Capp as Cinderella, Dennis Willis and Ross Crowe as the ugly stepsisters, Tracey Blackburn as the evil stepmother and Kerry Ratcliffe as Buttons.
The show takes place at Grenoside Community Centre, Main Street, Grenoside, tonight at 7.30pm, tomorrow night at 7.30pm and with two performances on Saturday – at 2pm and 7.30pm.
Tickets costing £7 for adults, £5 for children or concessions, and £22 for families are available by calling 0114 2468937.
