BUCKET collections held before and after performances of the Wizard of Oz at Sheffield City Hall raised £1,370 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Volunteers raised the cash over four days at performances staged by Manor Operatic Society.
Fundraiser Liz Howlett said: “This was an absolutely superb fundraising opportunity for Marie Curie Cancer Care. We must say massive thank yous to each audience that gave so generously and also huge thanks to all our lovely volunteers.
“These collections have raised a truly amazing amount of money in such a short space of time - equivalent to helping to provide over 68 hours of Marie Curie Nursing Care.”
The charity provides care, free of charge, to cancer sufferers in their own homes at the end of their lives.
