Flaming ’eck – skilful Sheffield barman Mike Wood certainly creates a spectacle for drinkers.
Now, he and his colleagues at Revolution are giving customers the chance to have a go themselves by booking a masterclass at the venue in West One, off West Street.
Mike, Revolution’s 24-year-old assistant manager, said: “We have 32 cocktails in our menu, but I can make up to 150 different ones from our back catalogue.
“We have a huge selection of 45 unique flavoured vodkas, plus rums, gins and whiskeys to choose from.”
Speciality cocktails include the flambéed cosmopolitan – and Mike can even make up a hot cocktail.
The Absolut orient apple includes honey-infused vodka, apple juice, cinnamon and fresh orange juice.
Mike said: “The whole thing is then steamed like a latté coffee.
Revolution, which is celebrating 10 years since it moved to its current premises, is offering customers the chance to hire a private room at the venue for a cocktail-making masterclass.
The glamorous sessions have been particularly popular with the ladies, Mike says, but stag parties and work groups have also been among bookings so far.
