VIDEO: Doncaster music festival Mapfest proves a smash hit

Have your say

Forget Glastonbury, Reading and the Isle of Wight - Doncaster rocked out to its very own music festival.

Mapfest 2013 took place at a host of pubs and venues across the town centre on Friday and Saturday with dozens of performers lining up to take part.

Former Inspiral Carpets frontman Tom Hingley was among those lining up on the bill, alongside ex-Seahorses member Chris Helme while singer-songwriter Beth McCarthy (pictured) performed a set at The Hall Cross.

The festival, which was first staged a few years ago, is a collaboration of Doncaster town centre’s live music venues in association with various individuals passionate about the live music scene in the town.
