Sock it to a Sheffield-made dad with local produce on Father’s Day.

Award-winning city caterers PJ taste, champions of local produce, have created a Sheffield Father’s Day Hamper.

It contains their famed, local version of the Scotch egg, a tub of Hendo’s-flavoured Yorkshire Crisps, a bottle of Bradfield beer and a pair of local socks.

“We’ve selected all the things local dads love - but of course, no Father’s Day gift would be complete without a pair of socks,” says Peter Moulam, co founder of PJ taste.

“Even they are local. We are working with Ollie Chapple, a recent Sheffield University graduate who has set up the Bear Sock Company in the city. It’s a venture with similar sustainability and ethical principles as ourselves.

“We are already talking to Ollie about future initiatives and introducing him to one of our suppliers who grows Yorkshire hemp.”

Hampers, on sale at PJ taste’s shop at 249 Glossop Road, the Technology Centre, Catcliffe, and by mail order with additional charge for postage, can also be filled with Sheffield Honey, Catherine’s Choice jam and preserves, Henderson’s Relish and Kelham Island Beers. Order by tomorrow, Thursday, at ask@pjtaste.co.uk or 0114 2755971.
