ROADS in and around the Oxspring area of Barnsley will be temporarily closed next Wednesday, March 28, for the South Yorkshire Road Race to take place.
Closures will be in place on Roughbirchworth Lane, Long Lane, Cross Lane, Back Lane, Salter Hill Lane, Tofts Lane, Dean Head Lane, Sharp Royd Nook, Pond Common Lane, Cross Lane and Park Lane.
Barnsley Council is overseeing the closures.
The race will start at the side of Springfields on Roughbirchworth Lane and finish on the playing fields at the rear of The Waggon and Horses public house.
Around 300 participants are expected to take part in the race, which is five miles long and one of a series to be held across the county over the next few weeks.
