RHYMES FOR A REASON: Waterlogged OAP
I love a blank page -------
It lies in waiting -----------
Hoping my fingers are working in sync.
I love the excitement of the unknown,
That magical moment when words appear.
Swiftly deleted as dreaded cliches,
Teasing grey cells to rewire each fuse.
I love the buzz of self-satisfaction,
As newborn ideas scream to be heard.
I love the slow ebb and flow of thoughts,
Sifting flotsam to rebuild a verse.
Sometimes I paddle in icy shallows
Fervently hoping to catch the tide.
Huge waves envelop, I surf with ease,
Loving my battle with computer keys.
