RHYMES FOR A REASON: Robert Mitchum Does It For Me

When I come back the next time I want to live next door To the hunk called Robertt Mitchum, I've loved him for years, and more.

Now I'm older, and should know better,

My friends call me a soft old tart,

But I just smile and remember Robert Mitchum

Who still has a place in my heart.

When they show one of his movies

I sit glued to the old TV,

In a dream world with RobertMiotchum,

And wishing Jane Russell was me.

If wishes were horses, away I would ride,

With Robert Mitchum the cowboy, close by my side

Towards the sunset, happy to be,

Together for ever, just him and me.

They say you remember your first love,

Robert Mitchum was truly that,

His eyes, his walk, his cleft chin,

Still makes my heart pit-a-pat.
